Larry decided a few years ago that he would like to learn to make jewelry for our granddaughters and they were certainly glad he did. As he got better at creating he branched out and started making gifts for me!
In the last few months he has started creating women's jewelry for my store. His designs lend themselves to a classic style and he avoids the flashy look that is so prevalent today.
I thought I would share a few of his creations.
This first set is made from Russian jade and he calls it From Russia With Love. The deep green of this jade is absolutely beautiful. This was the first of his jewelry pieces to sell and it was a real encouragement to him.
This one is a unakite and silver bracelet and earring set. The natural look of these stones is so pretty.
Larry really liked these beads but said he had no idea how he would use them, so he calls this bracelet a, 'Striped Mystery'.
This bracelet is absolutely beautiful. It is made from oriental glass, Swarovski crystals, and German silver. Larry calls it 'Spring Fever'.
Larry is very meticulous in his creations and he sometimes works on an item for a month before he gets it just the way he wants but the result is always beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYour Husband's creations are wonderful! He certainly has a great gift! I just started making jewelry, and I hope to be as good as him someday. If I may ask, where does he get his supplies? I would really appreciate it! Both of you, keep up the good work:)
Thanks for your kind words, Nikki. We pick up jewelry supplies all over as we travel. One thing he has discovered is to buy the best you can afford. He does not like working with inferior supplies. Local jewelry suppliers are generally your best bet because you can see the items in person, not just a photo.
