Tees and Twirls

I received a request for some warm clothes for a couple of little ladies. These little ones have to catch the schoolbus very early in the morning when it is still very cold. Their mother wanted outfits that would be warm in the morning and still comfortable when the sun warmed up in the middle of the day. . .

I had bought some warm turtlenecks from Lands End and I used these as the basis for their outfits. The mother wanted a skirt for one girl and a skort for the other.

I made a skirt out of a really cute, floral, corduroy. Using this fabric I made a very full, multi-tiered skirt.

The little one who will wear this outfit loves pink so for the top I used a pink turtleneck. I added some pink and white ribbons and a Precious Moment applique for embellishment.

The finished effect will look very sweet on Allison.

The second outfit is for Shelly and she wanted a skort. Her skort is made out of khaki colored cotton and buttons up the front.

Shelly likes blue, so I used a blue turtleneck and embellished it with blue and white ribbons and a beaded applique.

I think Shelly will really like this outfit.

Allison and Shelly should make quite a fashion statement in their new outfits.
